1. Doorset Components
When it comes to choosing a sturdy door, several elements have to be considered. That is why it is advisable to choose a wooden door frame encompassing all these components to ensure seamless installation and performance. The components that make up a doorset are:
- Door Leaf: A door leaf is the part of a door that swings open and shut. It is a protective component made from a high-performance tubular core with LVL style & rail. The door leaf provides 6-sided protection from unfavorable weather conditions, as well as security for people and property.
- Door Frame: The Dura designer laminated door frame is made up of HMR Grade MDF core, complying with E1 emission standards. It features a matching laminate surface and edge banding to that of the door leaf. The thickness, including the door stopper, is 45 mm, while the width is customizable from 90 mm going up.
- Acoustic Strip: Acoustic strips are the extra cushiony layer, ensuring effective dampening of sound waves.
- Architrave: The architrave serves to further enhance the look of the wooden doors & doorsets by covering the gap between the wall and the frame. It also features a laminated & edge banded HMR Grade MDF core and measures 50 mm x 10 mm. You can customize the thickness according to your design needs.
- Ironmongery: All Mikasa hardware is of premium quality. Advanced CNC machinery recesses ironmongery like hinges & locks to meet Mikasa’s quality standards.
