Door Leaf Core

The door leaf core offers a perfect combination of stability and strength as it is pre-tested for the fabrication of fire as well as non-fire-rated Doors. Door leaf core undergoes multiple durability tests concerning Soft & Heavy Body impact, Static Torsion, Slamming Shut & Open, Resistance to Jarring & Vibration, Closure Against Obstructions, and Operating Forces & Cycling. They are also available in thicknesses ranging 32mm, 35mm,38mm,44mm,54mm, and 64mm depending on your requirements. There are two Core options for Door Leafs:

Solid Particle Core:

Solid particle core is a premium-quality solid core filler that is made up of high-performance Triple Layer Density Particle Board. The boards are imported from Germany and have two core layers of wood chips that are high in density.

Tubular Core:

Tubular core is made up of a high quality tubular core that comes with LVL rail and stile, which provides intense stability to the door leaf.

Frame Core

Mikasa offers frames with various core options that are suitable for both fire and non-fire rated applications. When it comes to fire doors, Mikasa offers frames made of high-density hardwood. The doors also come with intumescent strips that are rebated onto all three sides of the door frame and expand to seal the gap between the frame and door containing or preventing the spread of smoke and fire. There are two options available under frame core.

Rebated Frames:

Rebated frames are made from solid hardwood and are available in Steam Beech species

Engineered Frames:

Engineered frames are made with a 15 mm thick door stopper that is made from matching material. It covers the head of anchor bolts. Some of the options available in engineered frames are:

  • LVL Frame: An LVL or laminated veneer lumber frame uses many layers of thin wood that are assembled with glue or adhesives to impart extreme strength.
  • MDF Frame: MDF frames are made up of MDF core that is highly moisture resistant and is suitable for all weather conditions.
  • Hardwood Frame: Hardwood frame is made from solid woods that are available in Steam Beech species.
